Chocolate Cake with Strawberry and Cream Cheese

Today I will show you how to make Chocolate Cake with Strawberry and Cream Cheese. From all the posts that I have posted so far, you guys have noticed how much I love Chocolate. Today we are making one of my favorite cakes. It will include strawberries, chocolate and cream cheese. Name a better Trio, I will wait!

Preparing the Chocolate Batter

Remember the Bain Marie we used in the Brownie Cheesecake? That is one of the most famous techniques on how to melt chocolate. Today, I will show you a new/faster way on how to do it. Put all the chocolate and butter in a pan in low heat. start stirring the mixture as soon as you realize that it is melting. On another bowl, mix the eggs with the sugar for around 10 minutes.

When the chocolate and butter are fully blended together, add them to the eggs and sugar mixture. Add flour and salt and mix it well. when the mixture cools down a little bit, add the baking powder and the vanilla extract. Put it in a baking pan and bake it for 20 minutes at 180C(350F). Make sure to check it very Often. Depending on the oven, sometime the batter might cook faster. It only needs to pass 1 minute to burn the whole thing.

Preparing Frosting

To do the frosting, this time we will use cream cheese. Add the cream cheese in a bowl and mix it very well with the butter until everything is homogeneous. If you are mixing it by hand, it will take around 10-15 minutes. Add the powdered sugar. Make sure to sift it if the powdered sugar has a lot of clumps. When the mixture is ready, put it in a Frosting bag and cool it down for 20-30 minutes.
